Elements and Performance Criteria
- Prepare to work in proximity of plant and equipment for transmission pipeline construction
- Job requirements and workplace procedures for the site are obtained and discussed with relevant person/s to confirm the work schedule
- WHS/OHS, environmental and sustainable energy policies and procedures are obtained and applied in accordance with workplace procedures
- Easement is inspected and assessed to determine relevant requirements in accordance with workplace procedures
- Hazards are identified, WHS/OHS risks are assessed and control measures prioritised, implemented and monitored in accordance with workplace procedures
- Scope of responsibility under the relevant work permit and/or relevant notification is obtained and confirmed with relevant person/s in accordance with job requirements and workplace procedures
- Equipment, plant, tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) required for the work are identified, scheduled, obtained and checked for operation and safety in accordance with workplace procedures and manufacturer instructions
- Relevant person/s are consulted to ensure the work is coordinated effectively with others involved
- Materials, plans, diagrams, drawings and resources required for the work are confirmed, scheduled and obtained in accordance with workplace procedures
- Responsibilities for first aid, emergencies and work safety procedures for an incident at the worksite are checked and confirmed with relevant person/s
- Third-party issues are referred to relevant person/s in accordance with workplace procedures
- Site preparation, safety plan and work schedule are confirmed with relevant person/s in accordance with workplace procedures
- Work in proximity of plant and equipment for transmission pipeline construction
- Materials, tools, equipment and measuring devices required for the work are selected and used correctly and safely in accordance with manufacturer instructions and workplace procedures
- Hazardous activities are conducted safely in accordance with WHS/OHS workplace procedures and job instructions
- Work is carried out to the required standard, without waste of materials or damage to apparatus, circuits, and the surrounding environment or services using sustainable energy principles
- WHS/OHS risks and incidents are reported to authorised person/s for directions in accordance with workplace procedures
- Unplanned events are referred to the authorised person/s for directions in accordance with workplace procedures
- Remedial action required when constructing pipeline easements is dealt with in accordance with workplace procedures
- Quality and safety checks are carried out in accordance with work instructions and workplace procedures
- Complete work and relevant documentation
- Work site is tidied and made safe in accordance with workplace procedures
- Tools, equipment and any surplus resources and materials are cleaned, checked and securely stored in accordance with workplace procedures
- Relevant person/s are notified of work completion in accordance with workplace procedures
- Work completion documentation is completed accurately and provided to relevant person/s in accordance with workplace procedures
